Overview: The Enabling works for the Main North and North Shore Corridor works is part of the NSW Government’s Sydney Metro.
The upgrade will allow an increase in the traffic between Hornsby and North Sydney and to support the transition between the Rail Link and Metro Lines. It will also see the realignment of the of the T1 North Shore Line to accommodate the new Sydney Metro tracks and the Chatswood tunneling dive site.

Scope: Excel successfully completed the Portion 7A works for the Main North and North Shore Corridor Works ahead of subcontract program durations. The works involved the construction of sealed and unsealed access roads, concrete footpaths, kerb & gutter and dish drains all to RMS specifications, urban landscaping, signage and wayfinding. All works were completed within the rail corridor. Excel assisted LOR when requested to expedite works for an earlier practical completion date whilst also increasing in the subcontract scope of work.
