Overview: Australian Nursing Home Foundation’s vision to establish a residential aged care in Gordon commenced in 2015 and construction commenced in late 2020.
The purpose-built facility will allow for ANHF to continue their culturally appropriate aged care by providing exceptional care to older Chinese and South East Asian Individuals.
Scope: Excel was engaged by Grindley Construction to complete the demolition and civil works portion of this project. The works commenced with remediation and the demolition of two structures in the construction footprint with the third structure protected and listed as a heritage. The works flowed into shoring piles, capping beams, foundation piling, bulk excavation and disposal of approximately 15,000m3 of VENM. Once the construction is complete Excel will return to complete the public domain works.
